About / Our technology

Our technology.

The clinical equipment at Hacton Dental Care is genuinely modern - CBCT 3D scanner, intraoral scanners, digital x-rays. The values are old-fashioned. That combination is what predictable, comfortable dentistry actually looks like.

What we have, and why.

CBCT 3D scanner

Cone beam computed tomography scanner used to plan every implant in 3D. Tells us exact bone position, depth, and the safe placement angle for every implant - before surgery starts.

Intraoral scanner

Replaces traditional putty impressions with a 3D digital scan that takes a few minutes. Used for crowns, bridges, Invisalign, retainers, night guards and more.

Digital x-rays

Modern digital sensors deliver instant images at a fraction of the radiation of older film-based systems. Image enhancement helps us see decay between teeth that the eye can't reach.

Soft tissue laser

Reduces the need for stitches in some surgical and cosmetic procedures, and is used in some gum-disease and periodontal therapy cases.

Airflow polishing (GBT)

Modern stain removal that uses a fine spray of water, air and gentle powder to remove surface stain in a single hygienist visit. Far gentler and more thorough than older techniques. Better known as GBT, the gold standard in modern dental hygiene.

Modern composite materials

Multi-shade tooth-coloured composite that bonds directly to the tooth, allowing minimally invasive treatment that matches the natural translucency of enamel for invisible, lifelike repairs.

Modern equipment, real benefits.

Predictable implant treatment

CBCT planning is the single biggest reason modern implant treatment is so predictable. We can quote at consultation with confidence rather than midway through.

More comfortable appointments

Digital scans replace messy putty impressions. Soft tissue laser reduces stitches. Airflow polishing replaces gritty older hygiene techniques.

Earlier detection of problems

Digital x-rays catch decay between teeth that's invisible to the eye. Bitewing imaging at every check-up is one of the strongest preventive tools we have.

Faster turnaround

Digital scans go straight to the lab. Crown and Invisalign planning is faster, more accurate, and most patients are seen for follow-up sooner.

Lower radiation exposure

Digital x-rays use a fraction of the radiation of older film-based systems, with the option to enhance images digitally rather than retaking.

Your technology questions, answered.

Why does a CBCT 3D scanner matter for dental implants?

A CBCT scan shows the exact position, depth and angle of your bone in 3D, so every implant is planned precisely before any surgery begins.

Do your digital x-rays use less radiation than older systems?

Yes, our digital sensors capture instant images at a fraction of the radiation of older film-based x-rays.

Do you still use putty impressions?

No, we use a 3D intraoral scanner for crowns, bridges, Invisalign, retainers and night guards, so there is no messy putty.

What is airflow polishing (GBT)?

Airflow polishing, also known as Guided Biofilm Therapy, removes surface stain and plaque with a gentle spray of water, air and fine powder in a single hygienist visit.

What is the soft tissue laser used for?

The soft tissue laser reduces the need for stitches in some surgical and cosmetic procedures and assists with certain gum-disease and periodontal cases.

How does your technology make appointments more comfortable?

Digital scans replace messy impressions, the soft tissue laser reduces stitches, and airflow polishing replaces the gritty older hygiene techniques.
