Hand-crafted porcelain veneers ready to bond

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin, hand-crafted ceramic shells bonded to the front of your teeth to change their shape, length, colour or alignment. Each veneer is built layer by layer by a master ceramist, then fitted over two to three appointments using a strong adhesive resin.

Because porcelain is so thin and the bond so strong, only a fraction of a millimetre of enamel needs to be reshaped first. The result is a natural-looking, stain-resistant transformation of your front-of-smile that typically lasts ten to fifteen years.

Are porcelain veneers right for me?

Veneers are most often the right answer for patients who want to:

  • Reshape worn, chipped or short front teeth
  • Close gaps between front teeth without orthodontics
  • Mask deep staining (tetracycline, dead teeth) that does not respond to whitening
  • Lengthen worn-down upper or lower front teeth
  • Change the overall shape and balance of their front-of-smile permanently

Veneers are not usually the right answer if your teeth need orthodontic alignment first, if you grind your teeth heavily, or if the result you want can be achieved more conservatively with whitening or bonding.

How your veneer treatment works with us.

01

Free consultation

We listen to what you would like to change, photograph your smile, take a 3D scan and discuss whether veneers are the right route. Around 45 minutes.

02

Digital design and mock-up

We design the proposed shape and shade digitally, then trial it in your mouth using temporary composite at a follow-up visit. You approve before we proceed.

03

Tooth preparation

Minimal reshaping of the front of each tooth so the veneers sit flush and look natural at the gum line. Local anaesthetic if needed.

04

Temporary veneers

We fit hand-shaped temporaries while your custom porcelain is being made (usually two to three weeks).

05

Final fit

The porcelain veneers are bonded to your teeth using a high-strength adhesive resin and cured with a curing light. Around 90 minutes per arch.

06

Review and aftercare

A short follow-up to check the bite, polish the edges and confirm aftercare.

Designed around your face, not a template

Every set of veneers we plan starts with photos of your full face, lips and existing smile. The shape, length and shade are designed to balance your features rather than to copy a generic 'set of veneers' look. Your input is central, every step.

Hand-crafted by a UK ceramist

The porcelain itself is made by a master ceramist who has worked with our group for years. Veneers built by hand layer-by-layer have a depth and a translucency that machine-milled veneers simply do not match.

Try before you commit

Before any tooth is shaped, we mock up the planned result on your teeth using temporary composite. You see and approve the shape, the length and the symmetry in the mirror first. Nothing irreversible happens until you say yes.

Conservative tooth preparation

Modern porcelain is so thin that, in most cases, only a fraction of a millimetre of enamel needs to be reshaped. We protect as much of your natural tooth as possible at every stage.

Built to last

Our veneers carry a 10-year clinical guarantee against debonding or fracture, subject to attending your routine reviews and following the aftercare advice.

Honest about the alternative

Veneers are not always the right answer. If composite bonding or whitening would deliver what you actually want, we will tell you that, even though it is the lower-cost option.

Real patients, real results.

Nervous about veneers?

Veneers are a big aesthetic decision and the most common worry we hear is "what if I don't like the result". The mock-up stage exists exactly for that reason: you see and approve the planned shape on your own teeth before any tooth is reshaped. If you change your mind at that stage, no harm done.

Local anaesthetic, sedation if needed, and slow, careful work mean the experience itself is comfortable throughout. Your same clinician designs, fits and reviews the case from start to finish, so the questions you asked at consultation are the same questions answered at every visit.

Veneer questions, answered.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Well-made porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years, with some patients still in their original veneers after 20 years.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

No, modern veneers require only a minimal amount of enamel to be reshaped (often less than half a millimetre) so the underlying tooth structure is largely preserved.

Is having veneers fitted painful?

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic so it is painless at the time, with most patients reporting only minor sensitivity for a few days afterwards.

What is the difference between porcelain and composite veneers?

Porcelain veneers are hand-crafted ceramic shells bonded to your teeth and last 10 to 15 years; composite veneers are sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit and last around 5 to 10 years at a lower cost.

Can I have just one veneer?

Yes, single veneers are common (typically to repair a discoloured front tooth) and we colour-match the porcelain to your other teeth so it blends invisibly.

Will my veneers stain?

No, porcelain is a glass-like material that resists staining from coffee, tea and red wine, unlike natural enamel and composite bonding.

Can I whiten my teeth before having veneers?

Yes, and we usually recommend it - whitening your natural teeth first means we can match your veneers to a brighter shade that will last.
